Frank J. Wilstach, comp. A Dictionary of Similes. 1916.

Christopher Pitt

We chime,
Like two soft lines when coupled into rhyme.

Some fly, like pendulums, from good to evil,
And in that point are madder than the devil.

Gathers like a tide.

Lowers like a storm.

It whizzes like the waters from a mill.
