| So close to Natures throbbing heart | |
| I stand in fear, | |
| For God is near. | |

| With wondering eyes, from dizzy trails, | 5 |
| I look on floods and granite vales, | |
| And in them see | |
| Divinity. | |

| From towering cliffs and ice-hewn crown | |
| The arrow-feathered pines look down | 10 |
| Where God alone | |
| Has set His throne. | |

| Be still my soul; the Presence greet. | |
