Characterized by excessive or imprudent spending: lavish, prodigal, profligate, profuse, spendthrift, wasteful. See CAREFUL, EXCESS, SAVE. 3. Given to or marked by unrestrained abundance: exuberant, lavish, lush1, luxuriant, opulent, prodigal, profuse, riotous, superabundant. See BIG, EXCESS.
