NOUN:1. The monetary resources of a government, organization, or individual. Often used in plural: capital, finance (used in plural), fund (used in plural). See MONEY. 2. Something, such as coins or printed bills, used as a medium of exchange: cash, currency, lucre. Informal : wampum. Slang : bread, cabbage, dough, gelt, green, jack, lettuce, long green, mazuma, moola, scratch. Chiefly British : brass. See MONEY.
