NOUN:1. The quality of being arrogant: arrogance, haughtiness, hauteur, insolence, loftiness, lordliness, overbearingness, presumption, pridefulness, proudness, superciliousness, superiority. See ATTITUDE. 2. A regarding of oneself with undue favor: amour-propre, conceit, ego, egoism, egotism, narcissism, vainglory, vainness, vanity. Slang : ego trip. See SELF-LOVE. 3. A sense of one's own dignity or worth: amour-propre, ego, self-esteem, self-regard, self-respect. See RESPECT.
VERB:To be proud of (oneself), as for an accomplishment or achievement: congratulate, plume, preen. See RESPECT.
