NOUN:The periphery of a city or town. Used in plural: edge, environs, fringe, outskirt (often used in plural), suburb (used in plural). See EDGE.
VERB:1. To put or form a border on: border, bound2, edge, fringe, margin, rim, verge. See EDGE. 2. To avoid fulfilling or answering completely: dodge, duck, evade, hedge, sidestep. See SEEK. 3. To pass around but not through: bypass, circumnavigate, circumvent, detour, go around. See SEEK.
