Manufacturing includes fiber-optic cable, ropes, yarns, stainless-steel pipe, apparel, and prefabricated homes. The Univ. of West Georgia is there. 2 City (1990 pop. 82,169), Dallas and Denton counties., N Tex., a suburb of Dallas, in a rapidly growing area. The city’s population nearly quadrupled from 1970 to 1990. Metal, plastic, and paper products; aircraft and auto parts; and electronic equipment are among the major products.
