(yl´yr) (KEY) , pass, 7,504 ft (2,287 m) high, Grisons canton, SE Switzerland, connecting the Upper Engadine Valley to the Oberhalbstein Valley. Used since ancient times, it is crossed by the Julier Road (built 1820–40).
