Larionov, Mikhail
 
 
(mkhyl´ lryô´nôf) (KEY) , 1881–1964, Russian painter. Larionov, together with Natalya Goncherova, was the founder of Rayonism, one of the earliest movements in nonfigurative art. Settling in Paris in 1914, Larionov stopped painting in 1915 and designed sets for Diaghilev’s Ballet Russe the same year.
