(l ´gä) (KEY) , town (1988 pop. 52,763), W Senegal. Located in a region where peanuts, cassava, and gum arabic are produced, the town manufactures peanut oil and processes hides and skins. Louga is a road junction and has rail connections with Saint-Louis in NW Senegal. An agricultural school and a branch of the Institute for Research in Seed Oils are in Louga. |
