| A bight is a loop or curve in a piece of rope, the course of a river, or the curve of a bay; a bite is a chunk or piece or mouthful, such as might be cut out with the teeth. Byte is a computer term meaning a string of eight bits, a basic unit of information in digital computing. They are homophones. | 1 |
