Fond du Lac, county (765 sq mi/1,981 sq km; 1990 pop. 90,083), E Wis.; Fond du Lac; 43°45'N 88°29'W. Dairying and agr. area (barley, oats, wheat, soybeans, peas, alfalfa, hay; cattle, hogs, sheep). Diversified mfg. at Fond du Lac, Ripon, Waupun; also vegetable canning, processing of dairy prods. S part of L. Winnebago (resorts) is in NE co. Drained by Milwaukee, Rock, Sheboygan, and Fond du Lac rivers. N tip of Horicon Natl. Wildlife Refuge in SW; part of Kettle Morain State Forest (N unit) in SE.
