Cache (KASH), county (1,173 sq mi/3,038 sq km; 1990 pop. 70,183), N Utah; Logan; 41°41'N 111°45'W. Irrigated agr. area bordering on Idaho and drained by Bear R. Includes fertile Cache Valley (extending N-S) in NW part of co. and part of Cache Natl. Forest and Wasatch Range in E. Wheat, barley, alfalfa, hay, sugar beets, vegetables, raspberries; cattle. Mfg. at Logan. Hardware Ranch Game Management Area in SE; Mt. Naomi Wilderness Area in E. Part of Wellsville Mt. Wilderness Area in SW; Hyrum State Park in SW. Beaver Mt. Ski Area in NE corner; Powder Mt. Ski Area on S boundary. Wasatch Natl. Forest in all of E 1/2, also S and SW. Small part of Caribou Natl. Forest in NW. Formed 1856.
