| Cerralvo Island (60 sq mi/155 sq km), off SE Lower California, NW Mexico, in Gulf of California, 28 mi/45 km E of La Paz; 19 mi/31 km long and up to 5 mi/8 km wide; 24°08'N 109°40'W. Mountains here are rich in minerals, especially copper and silver. Originally a volcano. In its center a peak rises 2,493 ft/760 m. Uninhabited. |
