Grimes, county (801 sq mi/2,075 sq km; 1990 pop. 18,828), E central Texas; Anderson; 30°33'N 95°58'W. Bounded W by Navasota and Brazos rivers. Diversified agr. (corn, fruit; hay; honey; cattle; dairying). Timber (mainly pine), hunting, fishing. Includes game preserve. Formed 1846.
