| Pemaquid (PEM-uh-kwid), peninsula, Lincoln co., S Maine, 16 mi/26 km E of Bath; site of town of Bristol. Gives name to fishing and resort villages of Pemaquid Beach; Pemaquid Harbor, Pemaquid Neck, Pemaquid Point (lighthouse here built 1827), and Pemaquid Pond, lake (5.5 mi/8.9 km long) near Bremen. |
