Estes Park, town (1990 pop. 3,184), Larimer co., N Colo., in Front Range of Rocky Mts., on Big Thompson R., at mouth of Fall R., and 24 mi/39 km W of Loveland, and 50 mi/80 km NNW of Denver; 40°22'N 105°31'W. Elev. 7,522 ft/2,293 m. Mfg. (pewter jewelry; printing and publishing). Noted resort; hq., and E entrance for Rocky Mt. Natl. Park (just W). Local mus. contains geological and botanical specimens from park. Nearby are Horseshoe Falls and state fish hatchery. Roosevelt Natl. Forest to N, E, and S. L. Ester to E.
