(furniture parts, wood chips, lumber, uniforms); in agr. area (dairying; hogs, cattle; vegetables). Bernice oil and gas field nearby. Unit of Kisatchie Natl. Forest to NW. Bayou DArbonne L. reservoir to E (state park). Settled 1841, inc. 1889. Formerly known as Big Woods. |
