Greers Ferry Lake, reservoir (49 sq mi/127 sq km), Cleburne and Van Buren cos., N central Ark., on Little Red R., 50 mi/80 km N of Little Rock; 35°32'N 92°00'W. Max. capacity 2,844,000 acre-ft. Extends E-W. Fed by Middle Fork of the Little Red R. Formed by Greers Ferry Dam, built (1962) by Army Corps of Engineers for power generation, recreation, and as a fish and wildlife pond.
