Cabarrus (kuh-BAHR-uhs), county (365 sq mi/945 sq km; 1990 pop. 98,935), S central N.C.; Concord; 35°23'N 80°32'W. In Piedmont region; drained by Rocky R. Agr. area (corn, soybeans, sorghum, wheat, hay; cattle, hogs, dairying, poultry); timber (pine, oak). Mfg. cigarettes at Concord and Harrisburg. Formed 1792.
