Brandenburg, town (1990 pop. 1,857),  Meade co., NW Ky., 28 mi/45 km SW of Louisville, on Ohio R. (bridged to W); 38°00'N 86°10'W. In agr. area (barley tobacco, soybeans, grain; livestock); mfg. (utility trailers, signs, organic chemicals). Otter Creek Park and Fort Knox Military Reservation to SE; Doe Valley L. to E. Doe Run Inn (1825) still in use.
