Barry, county (576 sq mi/1,492 sq km; 1990 pop. 50,057), SW Mich.;  Hastings; 42°36'N 85°18'W. Drained by Thornapple R. Farm area; cattle, hogs, sheep, poultry; dairy prods.; oats, wheat, soybeans, beans, corn; mfg. electronic equip., industrial machinery, rubber and plastics prods. Mfg. at Hastings. L. resorts. Gun L. is W; Midville Ski area in NW, small lakes throughout co., largest is Gun L., in far W (Yankee Springs State Recreation Area on Gun L.).
