| Abiquiu Reservoir (A-bi-kee-oo), Rio Arriba co., N N.Mex., on Rio Charma, 45 mi/72 km NNW of Santa Fe; 13 mi/21 km long; 36°13'N 106°24'W. Max. capacity 1,374,000 acre-ft. Intermittent. Formed by Abiquiu Dam (319 ft/97 m), built (1963) by the U.S. govt. for flood and debris control. Surrounded by, but not part of, Santa Fe Natl. Forest. |
