| Messalonskee Lake (mes-uh-LAHN-skee), reservoir (6 sq mi/15.5 sq km), Kennebec co., central Maine, on Messalonskee Stream, c.7 mi/11 km W of Waterville; 10 mi/16 km long, c.1 mi/1.6 km wide; 44°32'N 69°44'W. Max. capacity 118,300 acre-ft. Formed by Snow Pond Dam (13 ft/4 m high), built (1992) for power generation. One of Belgrade Lakes. |
