Strawberry (Fragaria)

Like strawberry wives, that laid two or three great strawberries at the mouth of their pot, and all the rest were little ones.
Bacon—Apothegms. No. 54.

The strawberry grows underneath the nettle
And wholesome berries thrive and ripen best
Neighbour’d by fruit of baser quality.
Henry V. Act I. Sc. 1. L. 60.
