Sandemanians or Glassites.
A religious party expelled from the Church of Scotland for maintaining that national churches, being kingdoms of this world, are unlawful. Called Glassites from John Glass, the founder (1728), and called Sandemanians from Robert Sandman, who published a series of letters on the subject in 1755.
