Typhon.
Son of Typhus, the giant with a hundred heads. He was so tall that he touched the skies with his head. His offspring were Gorgon, Geryon, Cerbrus, and the hydra of Lern. Like his father, he lies buried under Etna. (Homer: Hymns.) (See GIANTS.)
