(b. Chichester, February 26th, 1826), has translated, conjointly with Dr. Vaughan, “The Republic” of Plato; edited the Epistles to the Ephesians, Colossians, and Philemon; and written “The Manifestation of the Son of God” (1864); “Morality according to the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper” (1865); “The Gospel and Modern Life” (1869); “Theology and Morality” (1873); “Warnings against Superstition” (1874); “Order and Growth” (1891), etc.
