Bishop of Calcutta (b. Malpas, Cheshire, April 21st, 1783; d. 1826). “Poems” (1812); “The Personality and Office of the Christian Comforter” (1815); an edition of the works of Jeremy Taylor, and numerous essays in The Quarterly Review, besides his Newdigate prize poem, called “Palestine.” See his “Journal,” the “Life” by his widow (1830), “The Last Days of Heber,” by Thomas Robinson, and the Memoirs by Potter and Taylor.   1
