Court Circular.

Brief paragraphs supplied to certain daily papers by an officer (the Court Newsman) specially appointed for the purpose. He announces the movements of the sovereign, the Prince of Wales, and the court generally; gives reports of the levees, drawing-rooms, state balls, royal concerts, meetings of the Cabinet ministers, deputations to ministers, and so on. George III., in 1803, introduced the custom to prevent misstatements on these subjects.   1
