Nut Spice Cake

1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon clove
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 nutmeg, grated
1/2 cup molasses
1 cup raisins, seeded and cut in pieces
Yolks 4 eggs

1 cup sour milk
1/2 cup currants
21/2 cups flour
1/2 cup English walnut meats, cut in pieces
1 teaspoon soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon
11/2 teaspoons baking powder

Mix ingredients in the order given. This recipe makes two loaves.
