Joseph Friedlander, comp. The Standard Book of Jewish Verse. 1917. | | The Lord Is My Shepherd, I Shall Not Want | By Re Henry |
| THE LORD my Shepherd is, no want I know, | |
He leadeth me where tranquil waters flow,
I lie in pastures green.
Yea, though I walk within the gloomy shade
Where Death doth lurk, I will not be afraid, | 5 |
For on Thy staff I lean. | |
|
In vain mine enemies would me despoil,
My cup oerfloweth still with wine and oil,
My food Thou dost provide.
Thy mercy and Thy goodness both will last, | 10 |
And when my days upon this earth are past,
With Thee I yet shall bide.
