Research Topic: The Advantages and Disadvantages of Intermodal Transportation Intermodal transportation has had an impact on the transportation industry. In this research paper, I will discuss why intermodal transportation is vital. Some advantages consist of low cost, easier to manage goods, and increase safety. A few disadvantages are delays, products becoming damaged during transport, and the negative effects that transportation has on the environment. Although using intermodal transportation is beneficial for companies to use it can also have some disadvantages.
