Magical realism is in both stories “ The Nose” By Nikolai Gogol and Haunted, “The Saga of a Fallen Hero” By Even bluestone. The magical realism is a big part of both of the stories. Magical realism is a big part of both stories because it makes them interesting and mysterious. In the story the nose magical realism is in every part of the story and it makes it more interesting than any of the others.It is abnormal from other stroies in a way. Magical realism is one of the things that make both of these stories different from allot of ether ones. First in the story The haunted by Even bluestone is very creative in the way that the author introduced the magical realism. The story already starts out early when it begins the narrator states “ Eric Randall wasn’t himself. He was looking through his sister Lara’s eyes. This is kind of a spooks seen but its feels like a normal short story nothing magical about it but when you get to the middle of the story it pops. The narrator states “Semi-transparent faces of two young boys floated outside his window, bobbing back and forth in the storm-winds, trails of water streaking their faces. The story starts out with a barber finding a nose inside of a piece of bread. This is kind of normal it could happen in real life. The nose is not just a nose on the story it walks and talks. For example in the story it states“ .A carriage drew up at the entrance; the carriage door was opened, and a gentleman in uniform came out and hurried up the steps. How great was Kovaloff's terror and astonishment when he saw that it was his own nose!:” In this part apparently a nose in a very real environmental rides in a carriage.
