The Carolina Day Key Middle School had an overnight in September 2015 at a place called Camp Timberlake for Boys so everyone would get to know each other better. On our last day we went on a canoeing trip in the French Broad River and some of our canoes flipped over! One of them was Lacy, Aubrey and Mr. Flamini’s canoe. Lacy and Aubrey were in the canoe, and then Mr. Flamini tried to get in….. and the whole thing flipped. They haven’t even started! It was a usual teenager's room with posters of basketball players, a laptop on the desk and a TV hooked up to a XBOX 360. The cupboard was filled with clothes and his watches and wallet. Me and my friends Preben, Bryan, Dillon, and Lucas go to the school dance on friday the 13th. Preben is the one nerd out of are group. Bryan is the guy who thinks he is all big and tough but when it comes to a fight he can’t fight at all, Lucas is the scaredy cat, Dillon is the curious one who always wants to explore scary stuff, and I’m the one who don’t really care about anything. People at the dance kept making up rumors that if you leave the first 5 people to leave the dance would be haunted or followed by a mummy. It’s an awful place for children to play, so I don’t understand what in their right minds would make it seem like it was okay to come out here. I mean even we had to walk all the way from downtown Crystal Lake due to the lack of parking, and let me tell you, that is not a fun walk. There’s about an hour of walking even though these two places are almost right across the street from each other. In fact, downtown Crystal Lake is only a mile or two down the road from Veteran acres. However, to get to the actual location of the incident, that is what adds on an extra thirty minutes. In addition to that, you have to walk from the main road, which starts on the south side of Downtown. Our problem was that you have to head north, across the four different busy train tracks which tend to lead to a lot of train traffic and car traffic. After you venture past the tracks, you are then introduced to several different hair stylists, a few small businesses, such as La Amore, Muse Art: paint studio, and La rosita. There I was at 6 years old in a corner store with my 5 year old partner in crime cousin Alex.
