Carryl, Guy Wetmore. An American author; born in New York City, March 4, 1873; died on April 1, 1904. He wrote ‘Fables for the Frivolous’ (1898); ‘Mother Goose for Grown-Ups’ (1900); ‘Grim Tales Made Gay’ (1902); ‘Zut, and Other Parisians’ (1903); ‘Far from the Maddening Girls’ (1904).
