Winston Churchill (1871–1947)

Churchill, Winston. An American novelist; born in St. Louis, MO, Nov. 10, 1871; died in 1947. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1894, and contributed naval and other stories to the magazines. His published works are: ‘The Celebrity’ (1898); ‘Richard Carvel’ (1899); ‘The Crisis’; ‘Coniston’; ‘Mr. Crewe’s Career’ (1908); ‘A Modern Chronicle’ (1910); ‘The Inside of the Cup’ (1912); ‘A Far Country’ (1915).
