John Bates Clark (1847–1938)

Clark, John Bates. An American economist; born at Providence, RI, Jan. 26, 1847; died in 1938. He was professor of political economy at Columbia University. He wrote ‘The Philosophy of Wealth’ (1885); ‘The Distribution of Wealth’ (1899); ‘The Control of the Trusts’ (1901); ‘The Problem of Monopoly’ (1904).
