David Power Conyngham (1840–1883)

Conyngham, David Power. An Irish-American journalist and miscellaneous writer; born in Ireland, 1840; died in 1883. He was editor of the New York Tablet. He wrote: ‘Sherman’s March through the South’ (1865); ‘Lives of the Irish Saints and Martyrs’ (1870); and a number of Irish novels, including ‘Sarsfield’ (1871).
