Benedetto Croce (1866–1952)

Croce, Benedetto. A distinguished Italian philosopher and critic; born at Pescasseroli, near Naples, in 1866; died in 1952. His influence, especially in the field of esthetics and literary criticism, was exerted through the columns of ‘La Critica,’ and several volumes, including: ‘Æsthetic’ and ‘Ethic.’ (See Critical and Biographical Introduction).
