George Cupples (1822–1891)

Cupples, George. A Scotch sketch and story-writer; born in Legewood, Aug. 2, 1822; died on Oct. 7, 1891. In ‘The Green Hand’ he gives us a stirring tale of the sea. He also wrote papers on outdoor sports and on literary topics. (See Critical and Biographical Introduction).
