Dahlmann, Friedrich Christoph (däl’man). A German historian and publicist; born in Wismar, May 13, 1785; died in Bonn, Dec. 5, 1860. His ‘History of the English Revolution’ (1844); ‘History of the French Revolution’ (1845); and ‘History of Denmark’ (1840–43) are among his more important publications.
