Davis, Mrs. Mary Evelyn (Moore). An American poet; born in Talladega, AL, 1852; died in 1909. She wrote: ‘Minding the Gap and Other Poems’ (1870); and ‘In War Times at La Rose Blanche’ (1887); ‘The Price of Silence’ (1907).
