Sir Aubrey de Vere (1788–1846)

De Vere, Sir Aubrey. An Irish poet (1788–1846). His works are: ‘Julian the Apostate; a Dramatic Poem’ (1822); ‘The Duke of Mercia: an Historical Drama,’ the volume containing also ‘The Lamentations of Ireland’ (1823); ‘The Song of Faith, Devout Exercises and Sonnets’ (1842); and ‘Mary Tudor: an Historical Drama,’ published posthumously (1847).
