John Dewey (1859–1952)

Dewey, John. An American philosopher and writer on education; born at Burlington, VT, Oct. 20, 1859; died in 1952. He was professor of philosophy in Columbia University. Among his publications are: ‘School and Society’ (1899); ‘Studies in Logical Theory’ (1906); ‘How to Think’ (1909); ‘German Philosophy and Politics’ (1915).
