Katharina Diez (1809–1882)

Diez, Katharina (dēts). A German poet and story-writer; born at Netphen, Westphalia, Dec. 2, 1809; died there, Jan. 22, 1882. Her simple but fresh and pleasing talent is evinced in ‘Song Wreath’ (1842), and ‘Poems’ (1857), in part by a sister; and ‘A Youthful Friendship’ (1861), a story of village life.
