Amanda M. Douglas (1831–1916)

Douglas, Amanda Minnie. An American story-writer; born in New York City, July 14, 1831; died in 1916. She wrote many stories, which include: ‘Kathie’s Stories for Young People’ (6 vols., 1870–71); ‘From Hand to Mouth’ (1877); ‘Foes of Her Household’ (1886); and the adventures of a ‘Little Girl’ in many different cities.
