Carl Ferdinand Dräxler (1806–1879)

Dräxler-Manfred Carl Ferdinand (drex’ler män’fred). An Austrian poet and story-writer; born in Lemberg, June 17, 1806; died in Darmstadt, Dec. 31, 1879. His collected ‘Poems’ (1839), and ‘Joy and Pain’ (1858), together with tales in prose, are the basis of his reputation.
