Philippe Dumanoir (1806–1865)

Dumanoir, Philippe (dü-män-wär’). A French playwright (1806–65); born at Pau. He wrote, alone or in collaboration, some 200 vaudevilles. Of those wholly his own there may be cited: ‘The Marquise de Prétintaille’; ‘The Lambs’ School’; ‘Terrible Women’; ‘The Childless House.’
