Elson, Louis Charles. An American musical critic, lecturer, and author; born in Boston, April 17, 1848; died in 1920. He was musical critic of the Boston Advertiser after 1888. His works include: ‘History of Music’; ‘History of German Song’; ‘Curiosities of Music’; ‘Music Dictionary.’
